Climate Action Now

As COVID-19 caused everything to come to a grinding halt in 2020 it put a dampener on the Central Coast Council’s plan for engaging residents to become involved in their Climate Action Plan. Now unable to speak directly to residents as planned, the Council pivoted to an online approach and needed a highly engaging animated explainer to not only deliver the facts, but also win hearts.

And that’s where we came in!

Our task was to take the science provided by the Central Coast Council Environmental Strategies Team and use that information to create conceptualise, write and pre-produce an engaging piece of content that not only spoke to the heart of everyone living on the Central Coast but also inspired them to take immediate action to be part of the solution. Working closely with the Environmental Strategies team we achieved this delicate balance and then engaged our incredible production partners at We Make Online Videos to help us bring everything to life.

The result is this highly impactful yet deeply human; animated explainer that compels the viewer to take part in the Central Coast Council’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions and ensure a cleaner, safer, and more abundant future.

In addition, we were able to consult with Council stakeholders on the UX of their Climate Action Survey and Digital Marketing Strategy.
